That time of year

Yes it's time for play off hockey. Better still Stanley Cup hockey. I'm a hockey town girl and of you have to ask where that is, you know nothing about hockey. LOL!!

Detroit goes crazy during playoff hockey. I got hooked in the early 90s. Here's a funny story I love to tell about my dad, who passed away 10 years ago this year. One year when the Wings won the cup, my dad was invited to a cup party. Yes that is just what it sounds like. A party with the Stanley Cup & the Wings are in attendence. So, dad decides to wear a San Jose Sharks jersey to the party. Mind you, this is a Red Wings sponsered party. Well many of the players came up to my dad to ask what was up with the jersery. His response?? "well, I thought I'd wear this because it's as close as San Jose will get to the cup".
They LOVED it!!!
