Songs of the Season

My assignment for the Holiday season is to pick out what Christmas songs are special and post. So here it goes!

1. I'll Be Home For Christmas.
I just love this song. It's a classic.

2. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Guess it makes me think just for one day all can be calm and peaceful.

3. Charlie Brown Christmas Music- Because I couldn't WAIT to see CB every year!

4. Little Drummer Boy by Bob Seger. This song reminds me of my Dad because he loved it. Miss ya dad....

5. And just because I'm a little left of right and this makes me laugh...

Hope everyone has a Happy Holiday!

Crazy

Yesterday we has almost 8" of rain at our house. Many of the streets in our sub were flooded. Thankfully, it wasn't much worse than that. Crazy thing was, the rain didn't go past Bluffton. Out on the island, it hardly rained. Weird.

Just hanging at home this weekend. We have been running like wild bansees lately, so we will be hanging. Ted ws supposed to go to the Mothman Festival with a budd of his but the weather was looking too ify, so he ditched the plans.

I think a trip to Best Buy is on the agenda for me. My damn computer keyboard is not working properly. It skips about every third to fourth key stroke. And, no it's not user error.

Off to feed to the hounds!

missing

Tomorrow will mark ten years since my dads passing- and I still miss him. There are certain days that I wish I could pick up the phone and consult with dad to get his advice, or just hang out with him and watch the Michigan football game. Don't get me wrong, dad wasn't perfect- but who is- but he was MY dad. He was the only one I had. Cancer took him from us too early. he never got to meet his grand-daughter, my niece, who I know he would spoil like mad. We are a small family, but we are close in heart. And his passing has left a whole in mine.

Miss ya dad...

Family fun

Seems I always can find time to up date my blog when trecking up or down I-95. Don't worry I'm not driving. I left the honors to Ted. This time our travels takes us to Disney World. You see my 9yo niece is visiting from MI for a couple weeks and she has never been to the Rats house. So we are making it happen. Now I have been there only one other time. Ted, well he worked there in another life. It's going to be a wild weekend but hopefully one she will remember for the rest of her life.
